Kako preziveti ispitni rok! How to survive finals!

Ispitni rok je nocna mora za svakog studenta, pa i za nas dve. U svakom sledecem smo pronasle novi savet koji nam pomaze da potrosimo malo manje energije, ali imamo vise rezultata.

The finals are a nightmare for any student, and the two of us are not an exception. After every next one, we learned a few tricks that help us not to waste energy, without having lack of results.

  1. Pokreni se na vreme! Get yourself moving on time!

Najvaznija stvar koju morate da zapamtite jeste da odugovlacenje nije vas prijatelj. Neorganizovanost i lenjost samo mogu da protrace dragoceno vreme neophodno za ucenje. Par sati ucenja razlika je izmedju polozenog ispita i jos jednog propalog ispitnog termina. Jedan uradjen zadatak vise moze vam dati ideju koja ce znaciti polozen kolokvijum.

The most important thing you have to remember is procrastinating isn’t your best friend. Disorganization and laziness can only waste precious time you can use for studying. Few hours of studying can be the difference between passed exam and a failed one. One math or physics problem can give you an idea that can pass you your test.  

2. Sklonite se od drustvenih mreza! Stay away from social medias!

Telefon, laptop ili televizor mogu biti ogromno odvlacenje paznje, stoga ih je bolje izbegavati. Laptop moze biti jako koristan za pretragu potrebnog sadrzaja, ali vas mogu omesti fejs ili jutjub. Stoga mozete privremeno blokirati odredjene sajtove, dok ne zavrsite sa ucenjem. Mod aviona je sjajan dok ucite, jer sprecava telefon da vam odvraca paznju.

A phone, laptop or a TV can be a huge distraction, so you better stay away. Laptop can be useful, but you can easily go on facebook or youtube and stay there for a while. So the solution is a temporary blocking these sites, until you’re done. Airplane mode is great so your phone doesn’t get your attention while studying.

3. U zdravom telu zdrav duh! Healthy body,healthy mind!

 Nemoguce je da mozak funkcionise u punom potencijalu, ako je neispavan i premoren. No studenti teze za sto manje sna, a sto vise energetskih pica i kafe, koji mogu da znacajno ugroze vas imuni sistem, i zdravlje uopsteno. Sjajna alternativa  je solja crnog caja, koji je sjajan u kombinaciji sa malo cimeta ili mesan sa nanom i zelenim cajem. Kada vidite da vise ne mozete sa lakocom da pamtite gradivo, napravite pauzu, i odspavajte pola sata ili sat vremena, dovoljno da se mozak odmori, i napuni energijom.

It’s impossible for brain to function in its full potential if it’s tired. Despite that students tend to pull all-nighters with a lot of coffee and energy drinks which can damage your immune system and health in general. Great alternative is black tea with a pinch of cinnamon or mixed with mint and green tea. When you see you can’t memorize material with ease, you should take a nap half an hour or one hour long. That will rest your brain and  boost your energy level.

4. Ucini ucenje zabavnim. Make studying fun.

Ucenje nije nesto sto vam prvo padne na pamet kada pomislite na zabavu, ali ga mozete uciniti takvim. Razni kvizovi sa kolegama ili cak i samostalno mogu da vam pomognu. Podsticaj nagradama za uradjen pasus ili pitanje, pokrenu vas na rad. Podvlacenje sarenim markerima i bojicama vam mogu pomoci, ne samo da razlikujete bitne stvari od onih zanemarivih, vec vas i razvesele.

Studying isn’t the first thing that pops on your mind when you think of fun. But you can make it fun. Quizzes with your classmates or by yourself can help you memorize material easily. Rewards after a complete chapter or a exam question get you moving. Highlighting  with colorful markers and pencils helps you not only differentiate the important stuff from irrelevant, but makes you happy too.

 5. Napravi pauzu. Take a break.

Ponekad nam treba pauza, i ne treba je preskakati. Setnja gradom, pice u nekom kaficu sa drustvom ili film u bioskopu je sjajan odmot nakon napornog dana. Ali je treba smatrati kao nagrada za produktivan dan. Jer ako ne budete radili napotno, a pravili vise pauza, necete imati rezultate.

Sometimes we all need a break, and we shouldn’t skip it. A walk through town, a drink in a cafe with friends or a trip to the movies is a great rest from a hard day. But you should consider it as a reward after a productive day. Because if you don’t work hard,but make a lot of breaks, you won’t have desirable results.
